Here's an ad which may well indeed wind up being the greatest local Chicago TV commercial......for Super Sash Window Co., with an elderly couple being consulted on what window replacement would work best for them - and the firm's owner advising that's because they'd gotten his free book "Knowing What's Best for Your Home's Sake" (it would be terrible if something should happen to your home, say, an "accident" perhaps?) - and ending the commercial by offering it to those watching at home. There are times when watching this that I feel like a Jerky Boys sketch might break out at any time. "I'll send you this book - better yet, I'll bring it myself . . . " This aired on local Chicago TV early Tuesday, September 14th 1982 during the 12:30am to 1:30am timeframe.
